In 2021, Hungary became the top country in student satisfaction globally considering both international and domestic students.

The report was made by analysing 108 thousand reviews from coming from both domestic and international students, covering more than 200 different nationalities and reviewing higher education institutions in 121 countries. “The overall average score is 4.1 out of five – very high satisfaction,” said Edwin van Rest, CEO and founder of Studyportals. “This is a great compliment to the international education industry.”

Hungarian universities scored even higher than the average, international students scoring 4.25, while all students scoring universities at 4.35 in the country. This excellent result likely comes from the fact the Hungarian universities were very quick to adapt to the uncertain situation caused by COVID-19, with excellent online infrastructure and student-focused solutions. Now, as the pandemic slowly coming to an end, and universities getting even larger funds than before, Hungarian higher education is set to get even more competitive on the global scene.
