Hungary’s largest economics-focused university, Budapest Business University (BBU), has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with EY, one of the world’s top companies providing audit, tax, legal, strategy, transaction, and business consulting services. This agreement is centered around creating a broad educational collaboration that will open up new opportunities each year to help both institutions achieve their mutual goals. For EY, supporting young talent is a priority, while BBU is focused on embedding real labor market needs into its educational programs.

“As Hungary’s largest institution of economic sciences, Budapest Business University collaborates with hundreds of business partners to enhance education, develop curricula, provide hands-on experience for our students, and assist with their employment. In addition, we carry out research and corporate programs in partnership with businesses,” emphasized Dr. György Andor, Rector of BBU. “Our strategic partnership with EY focuses on a comprehensive educational collaboration that will ensure our university aligns student training with the most relevant labor market needs.”

“At EY, our greatest asset is our people. They are the ones who drive success for our clients and, ultimately, for us. Creating a motivating environment for our team members is a top priority. We encourage everyone here to pursue their dream careers, with support from comprehensive training and mentorship programs, opportunities for international assignments, and even study trips abroad. I am delighted that through our partnership with BBU, we can help students shape their futures thoughtfully and gain practical experience even during their university years,” said Tamás Vékási, CEO of EY.

In the 2024/2025 academic year, EY professionals will host guest lectures and professional events at BBU’s Zugló campus and will also participate in BBU’s final exam committees. The company will have its own booth at BBU’s spring career fair, where it will offer internships, entry-level, and senior positions to both current students and alumni.

Twice a year, EY’s Budapest office will host open days for BBU students, giving them an opportunity to explore the career paths offered by the firm.
