Óbuda University makes significant leap in global rankings

The latest Times Higher Education World University Rankings have been published, showcasing a notable rise for Óbuda University among Hungarian institutions.


While the University of Oxford continues to hold the top spot globally for the ninth consecutive year, Hungary has seen its own universities improve their standings. Leading the national rankings is Semmelweis (medical) University, followed by Óbuda University, which made a remarkable jump from the 1001-1200 range to the 601-800 bracket. This significant improvement highlights Óbuda University’s growing prominence in education and research. ELTE remains in third place, maintaining its position from last year.

Óbuda’s advancement is a clear indicator of its strengthening academic reputation and increased recognition on the global stage.
